THE MYSECRET SPOSA 2018 COLLECTION INSPIRED BY THE TWENTIES OF THE GREAT GATSBY
The Roaring Twenties, this is the source of inspiration for the new Mysecret Sposa collection. With gowns that seem taken from the scenes of The Great Gatsby, the film by Baz Luhrmann based on the celebrated novel by Francis Scott Fitzgerald and starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The style of that festive period is made of flared skirts in silk voile, printed organza trains, tulle multilayer frills with visible cuts, matching of different laces and plissé soleil. While the essential lines and French Chantilly lace interpret the eternal purity of love that distinguishes the hero of this timeless story. The new elements of 2018 are the removable blouses, typical of the Roaring Twenties, when women start to break free and be more independent, even with their clothing, and the vast range of haute couture necklines: shoulder, kimono-style, halter neck, boat neckline, plunging V-neck, with effects created with transparencies and embroidered details, often illuminated by crystals. To please the Third Millennium brides, the collection also includes two interchangeable pieces (bodice and skirt, leotard and skirt) and various skirts that become short for the evening party. Lastly, the Mysecret Sposa classic elements that are included in every collection, season after season: georgette, stretch and full-bodied crêpe, satin and silk voile, tulle, organza, Mikado, and materials like pearls mixed with crystals. One of Jay Gatsby quotes is: “She makes everything shine, don’t you think so old man?” Perfectly suited for Linda Pizzutilo who, with her husband Giorgio Lippolis, has realized a dream with a bridal line of which the distinguishing feature is the made in Italy craftsmanship.
